Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to Hendy Foundation Birthday Auction (“the Auction”) taking place online from 7–14 November 2025. By placing a bid, participants agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Organiser

The Auction is organised by Hendy Foundation, a registered charity supporting local community initiatives.

3. Eligibility

  • The Auction is open to UK residents aged 18 or over.
  • Colleagues and trustees of Hendy Foundation may participate but may not benefit unfairly from inside information.

4. Bidding

  • Bids must be placed through the official online auction platform during the auction period.
  • Bids are binding; once placed, they cannot be withdrawn.
  • The highest valid bid at the close of the auction wins the item.

5. Payment

  • Winning bidders will receive confirmation via email.
  • Payment must be made in full within 5 working days of notification, using the payment methods provided.
  • Failure to pay within this timeframe may result in the item being offered to the next highest bidder.

6. Prizes and Fulfilment

  • Prizes are as described on the auction site; no alternative prizes or cash substitutes are available.
  • Some prizes may have specific terms or expiry dates (e.g. vouchers, experiences). These will be stated in the item description.
  • Hendy Foundation accepts no responsibility for the delivery or performance of prizes donated by third parties, though every effort will be made to ensure a smooth handover.

7. Refunds and Cancellations

  • All bids and payments are final. No refunds will be given except in the case of an error by Hendy Foundation.
  • The Foundation reserves the right to withdraw or amend any lot or cancel the Auction if necessary.

8. Liability

Hendy Foundation will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from participation in the Auction or use of any prize.

9. Data Protection

Personal data collected during the Auction will be used solely for administration and communication related to the event, in line with Hendy Foundation’s Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
