Business Relationship Trustee

Simon Palmer

Find out more about Simon

Having left school and worked as a chef for 8 years I felt I needed a new challenge. In 1985 I joined the motor trade as a trainee salesperson and somehow never looked back. Forty years later, at the time of my retirement, I held the position of Director - Used Vehicle Operations for the Hendy group having spent the entire 40 years working for Hendy.

Along the way I worked my way through just about every role within the sales division. I learned a lot, made plenty of mistakes and met some brilliant people. I've always loved building teams, helping to grow the business and doing things the "right way" My career in sales has been a hell of a journey and I wouldn't change a minute of it.

I'm now looking forward to serving as a business trustee for the Hendy Foundation, a charity that I have been very close to since its start.
