Hendy Foundation is governed by a team of passionate trustees who have shaped the vision and goals of the foundation. Our trustees bring a wide range of skills and experience, and all share our ethos of making a real difference in the areas in which Hendy Group operates. They ensure the money raised is used in the best possible way to help our communities and develop new strategies for supporting local causes.

Rebecca is one of the founding trustees of Hendy Foundation, having been inspired by the desire to work closely with the local community, which has been an important part of her family for six generations. Rebecca works for Hendy Group while also running her own marketing consultancy business in Dorset. She is no stranger to fundraising in the community, having been involved in school fundraising committees. In the last 10 years she has also taken part in events such as Race for Life and climbed Ben Nevis to raise money for cancer charities.

Mark is Commercial Director of Hendy Group and a founding trustee of Hendy Foundation. Launching the foundation has been a key goal for Mark who is passionate about supporting the local communities in which Hendy Group operates. Mark’s role in the group has seen him involved in a wide range of charity and community efforts across the region and has seen first hand the benefits of these partnerships. It is the clear benefits that drive Mark to continue helping the local community, and his role will include working closely with the Hendy business and the involvement of staff.

Business and IT consultant Chris Drew has joined the trustees of Hendy Foundation bringing with her vast experience in the business, charity and sporting sectors. Chris is a valuable addition to the board overseeing the finances of the charity and working closely with other trustees on the running of the charity, governance and the awarding of grants. Her background as director of a leading software house saw Chris providing accounting solutions to SMEs across the world and led to her current role working as a business consultant to a wide range of companies at home and abroad. Chris has also held a number of key voluntary roles in Dorset County Cricket Club, Colehill Cricket Club and is a leading scorer in the game at national and international levels.

Alyson heads up one of the south’s leading PR agencies and has vast experience in the motoring, business and charity sectors. She has worked with Hendy Group for more than 15 years and was previously a motoring and business journalist in the south. Alyson was a committee member and patron of motoring charity WOMAC for many years and has been involved in promoting charity efforts as diverse as cycle challenges, healthy living campaigns and national sporting challenges.

Kyle is the Finance Director at Lester Aldridge LLP and while he loves to dissect a set of financial accounts he really enjoys giving a little back to support the local community where he can. This is where Hendy Foundation was the perfect match. Kyle is a keen water sports enthusiast where he volunteers to teach at his local sailing club while also enjoying time afloat with his family. Working in the heavily regulated legal services sector as well as previous positions under the FCA and School Governance through to hospitality management, Kyle is able to bring a range of perspectives when working with fellow trustees and volunteers at Hendy Foundation.

Richard Scott

Richard joins Hendy Foundation as relationship trustee working with organisations supported by the foundation and its charity partners. Richard has a wealth of experience in the sporting and hospitality sectors where his roles included head coach at Middlesex County Cricket Club for 10 years. He now runs his own successful cricket coaching company and is involved in mentoring players. This experience puts Richard in the ideal position to work alongside fellow Hendy Foundation trustees to provide grants to local projects, people, events and charitable organisations.

Vicky is head office receptionist for the Hendy Group and is the administration support volunteer for the foundation. She is a vital link between trustees and the charities it supports together with providing valuable support to all trustees.

Vicky sees her role as a fantastic opportunity to help make a difference and give back to the local community where she works and lives.

Outside of work Vicky is an avid football fan and regularly follows Manchester United FC. Vicky has an 8-year-old boy who is a budding, young football player, and as a proud mother, Vicky is hoping one day he will play for her team!
