Proceeds from the Hendy Foundation Birthday Auction were all directed to foodbanks and community pantries and one of these grants was awarded to Chomp Brighton.
The charity supports low-income families to access food provision, enriching activities, and local community.
Chomp was established in 2013 when One Church Brighton’s Minister, and his wife, were troubled by a Panorama programme about Britain’s Hungry Children. They knew this was happening in Brighton and they decided to take action.
Chomp began offering holiday lunch clubs, providing a free hot nutritious meal and space for children to play. Today, Chomp continues to run its free holiday lunch clubs, and has now grown to offer a variety of wellbeing opportunities that support parents and children.
