Solent Rescue is a volunteer-led, independent lifeboat charity based at Lepe Country Park in Hampshire, working closely with other Search and Rescue agencies including the UK Coastguard and the nearby RNLI stations like Calshot. Unlike the RNLI, it operates as an autonomous rescue service specifically focusing on the Western Solent and Southampton Water. They cover a significant stretch of the Solent from Mudeford to Portsmouth, including Southampton Water up to Eling Bridge. The fleet operates two inshore lifeboats; an Arctic 24 and a smaller D-Class vessel. Additionally, they provide first aid cover for visitors at Lepe Country Park.
