West Kent Radio has been licensed by Ofcom to provide a community radio service to the people of Southborough, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and surrounding villages. It is a not-for-profit, charitable organisation run by volunteers. Hendy Foundation helped fund broadcast equipment for the station.
The station aims to broadcast news, information, sport and entertainment programmes to the local community, to provide a platform for local individuals, groups, and communities to share their experiences and to enable local musicians to showcase their talent.
