Celebrity chef and beloved TV personality Rosemary Shrager is embarking on an extraordinary 450-mile cycling journey from Land’s End to the White Cliffs of Dover to raise funds and awareness for food poverty across southern England. This ambitious ride will support food poverty charities such as food banks and food pantries along the route, aiming to make a tangible difference in communities facing hardship. Starting her journey on Sunday 1st June, she intends to complete the journey by Wednesday 18th June.
Pedalling for a Purpose
Rosemary is swapping her chef’s whites for cycling gear, driven by a deep commitment to tackling food insecurity. The route will take her along the south coast, passing through towns and villages where food banks are a vital lifeline for many families. The initiative is backed by charity Hendy Foundation, with proceeds going directly to local food banks and community support initiatives.
A Personal Mission
Rosemary has shared her training journey with fans on social media, revealing that her months of preparation have been in aid of this cause. In a heartfelt message, she said, “To raise money for Food Poverty, I’ll be cycling from Lands End to Dover!” Her dedication to this cause highlights her passion for ensuring everyone has access to nutritious food. Rosemary is no athlete, and her months of dedicated training will finally come to fruition when she sets off from Land’s End on 1st June.
