A total of 19 charities and good causes in the region were awarded grants in the summer round of funding from Hendy Foundation.

Trustee chairperson Rebecca Hendy said the fund received its highest number of applications so far making the decision-making process extremely difficult as trustees considered all applications.

“We were overwhelmed by the sheer number of applications from such a wide variety of good causes and from across the south,” said Rebecca.

“As trustees we always look at those charities where we feel we can really make an impact and we look forward to seeing how those successful applicants improve the lives of those they work with.”

The successful applicants this round were:

  • Brighton and Hove Food Partnership
  • Care for the Carers
  • Clarity North Devon
  • Dandelion Time
  • Dyscover Time
  • Friends of Stour Connect
