Registered by a group of local people as a charity in 2019, Sanctuary in Chichester’s mission is to give refugees and asylum seekers relocated to the Chichester area the best possible opportunity to settle safely and successfully into a local community by providing them with the practical, social and pastoral support without which they could face typical problems such as social isolation, insecurity, basic needs unmet and ongoing trauma.
The Hendy Foundation grant was used to support the charity’s Winter Fuel Fund to help people meet fuel bills.
